August 31st
A hat trick from Shane O'Sullivan, two goals from
Marvin Elliott and one by Ben Olweny gave Southall an emphatic 6-1
victory at Jewson Eastern Counties Premier League side Stowmarket
Town.
The last time Southall scored six goals in an away tie in the F.A.
Cup was on November 14th 1936 when they beat Oxford City 6-3 in a
Fourth Qualifying Round match. This earned them a First Round
Proper match away to Third Division South Cardiff City which they
lost 3-1.
Southall did score seven goals in the 1955-1956 season. They faced
Sudbury Town in the second replay of a Fourth Qualifying Round
match on a neutral ground at Ilford. Two goals each from Len Frost
and Neil McPherson and one each from Harry Tillyer, Peter Stevens
and Des Gittus gave Southall a 7-2 victory and an away tie in the
First Round at Hastings United. Southall lost 6-1 and this was
their last appearance in the Rounds Proper of the F.A. Cup.
Southall Reserves began their season in Division 1 of the Select
Appointments Middlesex County Football League with a 2-1 home
defeat by Marsh Rangers.

WIMBLEDON GAME ON SEPTEMBER 3RD
The web master has been advised that
admission on the night will be:
Adults £5
Senior Citizens and Under 16: £2
Programmes will be available at £2 each.
Please note that the price of admission on the night does not
include a programme.
August 26th
Southall visited near neighbours Bedfont in their
latest Seagrave Haulage League match and returned home well
deserved 5-3 winners. First half goals from Mo Kadi and Lonyo
Engele helped Southall into a 2-1 lead at half time. Two goals
from Inderjit Mattu and one from Andre Robinson completed the
Southall scoring.

August 24th
A brace of goals from Mo Kadi earned Southall their
first point of the season with a 2-2 home draw against Chipstead,
the conquerors during the week of AFC Wimbledon.
August 23rd

August 20th
Southall's disappointing start to the season continued with
a 3-1 home defeat by current champions AFC Wallingford.
Andre Robinson scored the goal for Southall.
August 19th
It is expected that both Andre Robinson and Tony Gordon
will be included in the team to face AFC Wallingford.
August 17th
Southall lost their opening league game 4-2 away to
Raynes Park Vale. Jerry Moses was on target in the first half
whilst an own goal added to the Southall total after the
interval.
Jerry Moses suffered concussion during the game and was taken
to Kingston Hospital where he was detained overnight for
observation.
August 10th
Southall's pre-season campaign continued with a visit to
the Farm Park ground of Spartan South Midlands side Brook House.
The opposition turned out to be Brook House Reserves who
last season won the Northern Division of the Suburban Football
League.
A clinical finish from Andre Robinson and an excellent volley from
Jerry Moses gave Southall a 2-0 lead at half time. Manager Frank
Gill made several changes during the second half and Southall
managed to add a third goal from Shane O'Sullivan to secure a
comfortable victory.
Southall Reserves faced Broadfields United Reserves in a
pre-season friendly but were defeated 4-1. Their league campaign
begins on August 31st with a home fixture against Marsh Rangers.
Two further home fixtures follow on September 7th and September
21st against Neasden 2000 Reserves and Signcraft respectively.
August 9th
The web master would like to apologise for the lack of
information on the web site over the past few days. This has been
due to holiday commitments.
Southall faced Spartan South Midlands side Hillingdon Borough, who
put out a weakened team, in
their second pre-season friendly on Wednesday August 7th and came
back from the Breakspear Road ground comfortable 5-1 winners.
Goal scorers included Andre Robinson who has returned from a spell
at Crystal Palace and Inderjit Mattu who made several appearances
during the club's final season in the Ryman League. The other goal
scorers were Jerry Moses, Shane O'Sullivan and Tony Gordon.
The web master has been advised that the Combined Counties
League has secured the sponsorship of Seagrave Haulage Limited for
the next three seasons.
As a result the competition will now be known as the The
Seagrave Haulage Football League.
