August 23rd
Southall produced a disappointing, below par performance and were deservedly beaten 4-2 by AFC Wimbledon in front of a crowd of 2510 at the Kingsmeadow Stadium.
The home side went ahead after 15 minutes through Man of the Match Joe Sheerin. Three minutes later the same player scored  again and five minutes after that Kevin Cooper converted a penalty. Andre Robinson pulled one back ten minutes before half time.
The second half saw Southall again largely ineffective. Ryan Gray scored a fourth for AFC Wimbledon with a cross-cum shot in the 84th minute and in time added on by referee Kasey Andre Robinson scored a consolation goal thanks to the generosity of substitute Noel Frankum.

Director of Football Terry Fenwick had this to say about today's performance:

This was a poor performance. This was one game in which the players had the chance to show off what they could do. There were a number of players in the team who let themselves and the rest of the team down. Steve Macenzie was perhaps our most consistent player.
We are at our worst when we are undisciplined as individuals - when we are that we are not doing the job that we should be doing for the team.

August 20th
Reports of the Farnham Town and Raynes Park Vale matches are now on the web site.

August 19th
Southall visited Raynes Park Vale for a Seagrave Haulage League fixture and their run of  bad results against the South London side continued with a 3-2 defeat.
Southall made the early running in the first half and squandered several good chances. They were punished for this in a twelve minute spell when Raynes Park Vale scored three times. To make matters worse Chris Barrett was dismissed when he was adjudged to have handled the ball and thus to have prevented a goal scoring opportunity.
The second half saw a tremendous fight-back by Southall and resilient defending by the home side. Two goals in three minutes by Alan Johnson and Marvin Rufus gave Southall a chance of a share of the points but despite all of the effort the home side hung on to take all three points.

Southall kicked off their fourth season in the Seagrave Haulage Combined Counties League with a 3-0 win over Farnham Town.
After a goalless first half Southall took the lead in the 56th minute when goalkeeper McArthur parried a Shane O'Sullivan corner into his own goal. Marvin Rufus made the score 2-0 in the 77th minute following a well worked move and Alpha Bangura secured all three points, in time added on by referee Woods, with a good strike from outside of the penalty area.
The Man of the Match Award, sponsored by Geoff Harrison, went to Marvin Rufus.
