February 28th
The following fixtures have been announced for Southall Youth Team.
All matches are Cardinal Ealing Youth League unless otherwise stated.

February 25th
The 2-0 victory over Feltham was the first time that Southall First Team had kept a clean sheet in successive games since the 1998-1999 season. 
The two matches then were:
August 29th 1998    Lewes     Home    Won    5-0
August 31st 1998    Hornchurch    Home    Drew    0-0
Both games were in the Ryman League Division Three

February 24th
A goal in each half from Andre Robinson gave Southall a 2-0 victory against Feltham. The match was delayed for 20 minutes due to the late arrival of the match referee. 
This was Southall's first visit to the Feltham Arena since October 29th 1994 when two goals from Day and one each from Fraser and Formosa helped to defeat Feltham & Hounslow Borough 4-3 in a  Diadora Isthmian League Division Three game.
Southall Reserves entertained Ruislip Manor in a friendly and after leading 1-0 at half time ended as 2-1 winners.  The Ruislip Manor side contained several players who represented Southall at the end of last season and was managed by former Southall Reserve Team manager Gerry Childs.

February 23rd
The Youth Team game against FC Deportivo which was scheduled for Sunday February 25th has been postponed. FC Deportivo are unable to field a side.

55 new pages have been added to the web site to expand the site to over 170 pages.

The Club History section now has active links to the league tables for each season spent in the following leagues:

The Amateur Cup link has the known results from 1897 to 1974.

There is now a link to other web sites in the Combined Counties League.


February 22nd
The Management Committee of the Cardinal Ealing Youth League in their meeting on February 12th decided that Greenford Town should be awarded the points for the fixture that was postponed on January 14th.
 The Southall Youth Team was unable to fulfil the fixture due to the lack of an available football kit that day.


February 18th
The report of the Raynes Park Vale  game written by Steve Cullen  is now on the web site.

February 17th
Southall returned to winning ways with a 3-0 victory away to Raynes Park Vale. After a goalless first half a goal from Lyndon Tucker and a brace from Daniel Twin gave Southall revenge for their 5-3 home defeat early in December.
Southall Reserve Team had a good 3-1 win away to Brook House 'A' in a re-arranged fixture. Two goals from Jason Peace and one from Alvin Sterling gave Southall all three points and made up for the 4-2 home defeat by the same team earlier in the season.


February 16th
The Combined Counties fixture at home against Bedfont which was scheduled for Tuesday February 20th has been postponed. 
This is due to the fact that Bedfont are involved in a Middlesex Senior Cup tie against Southall Town the following day. No new date for the fixture has been arranged.
Fixtures for March have been announced by the Combined Counties League.

February 15th
The report of the AFC Wallingford game written by Andy Fitzsimons is now on the web site.

February 10th
Following the pitch inspection this morning it can be confirmed that the match against AFC Wallingford is ON.

The Athenian League link in the Club History section of the web site is now active. This contains the league table and results for each season that the club played in the Athenian League.

Southall were no match for their opponents AFC Wallingford in Round 2 of the Premier Division Challenge Cup. They found themselves four goals down within half an hour of the start of the game and eventually lost the match 6-0. To make matters worse they had Tony Gordon sent off in the second half along with manager Frank Gill who was dismissed from the dug out.

The Reserve Team match against Broadfields United Reserves was abandoned after 40 minutes with Southall 1-0 ahead. The abandonment was caused when the Broadfields United goalkeeper collided with the goalpost which caused the goal to collapse!


February 9th
There will be a pitch inspection at 9 am tomorrow (Saturday) to decide whether the match at home against AFC Wallingford can take place.
The Youth Team match, on Sunday,  away to Hanwell Town has been postponed.
The web master would like to apologise to visitors who have found it difficult to access the web site during the week. The problems have been reported to the ISP and it is hoped that they will remedy the faults  as soon as possible.

February 6th
The report of the Cobham game written by Andy Fitzsimons is now on the web site.

February 4th
The Youth Team fixture against Greenford Town was postponed.
The Premier Division Challenge Cup match against AFC Wallingford will take place as scheduled on Saturday February 10th.


February 3rd
Southall made their first ever visit to the Leg O'Mutton Field when they played Cobham in a Combined Counties Premier Division fixture. Southall had the better of the first half and a goal from Sean Chambers gave the visitors a 1-0 lead at half time. Cobham proved to be the stronger team after the interval and their equaliser earned them a share of the points.
Two goals from Jason Peace and one from leading goal scorer Alvin Sterling gave Southall Reserves a 3-3 draw at home to CB Hounslow United Reserves.
