November 2002

November 30th
A goal each for Shane and Donal O'Sullivan and a highly controversial goal by Mo Kadi gave Southall a 3-1 victory over Reading Town at Scours Lane.
Southall Reserves lost 6-2 at home to Hounslow Wanderers in Division One of the Select  Appointments Middlesex County League. Their next two league fixtures are against Hanworth Villa Reserves who are immediately above them in the table.


November 24th
The match at home to Frimley Green which was postponed yesterday has been re-arranged for Tuesday December 17th.

November 23rd
The Seagrave Haulage League  match at home to Frimley Green was  postponed. The pitch at Chalfont St Peter was unplayable due to recent bad weather.
Southall Reserves had no fixture.


November 16th
Four goals from Donal O'Sullivan and one from brother Shane gave Southall an emphatic 5-1 victory away to AFC Wimbledon in the Second Round of the Premier Division Challenge Cup.
Southall were two goals ahead at the interval and added a third in the second half before the home team pulled one back. AFC Wimbledon then missed a penalty before two further goals sealed the victory for Southall.


November 14th

November 13th
A report of the Godalming & Guildford match is now on the web site.

November 12th
Southall secured their first point during November when they fought back from a two goal deficit to draw 2-2 away to Godalming & Guildford. Goals from Donal O'Sullivan and John Edwards secured the point.
Ealing Council has confirmed the award of the tender for the regeneration of Spikesbridge Park to the London Soccer Academy.


November 9th
Southall's nightmare November continued when they slumped to a 2-1 defeat against Feltham. On the artificial pitch at the Feltham Arena the home side scored twice within a minute during the first half to give them a 2-0 half time lead. A goal from Andre Robinson reduced the arrears but the home side held on to claim all three points.
Southall Reserves fared no better in their latest Select Appointments Middlesex County League match. They travelled to Cranford to face Signcraft FC and were comprehensively beaten 6-0.


November 8th

November 7th
The plan to bring Southall Football Club back to Southall has received a bitter body blow. The Evaluation Committee which has considered the tenders for the regeneration of Spikesbridge Park has recommended that the tender should be awarded to the London Soccer Academy. This will now be discussed by the Cabinet Committee of the London Borough of Ealing at their next meeting on Tuesday November 12th.
This follows a decision by the London Borough of Ealing in March 2001 to award the tender for the development of Glade Lane to the newly formed Southall Town instead of Southall Football who were formed in 1871.


November 5th
Southall suffered another setback when they lost 3-1 away to lowly Chipstead. The home side, who had drawn 2-2 at Ash United in their previous match, were 2-0 up at half time and a penalty gave them a three goal lead. Andre Robinson pulled one back for Southall.
This gave Chipstead their first league win since they defeated AFC Wimbledon on August 21st.

November 4th
The Fair Play Table, as of October 30th,  has been published and shows Southall in 14th position with 22 disciplinary points made up from 10 cautions and 4 dismissals.
 The present leader is  Chessington & Hook United with 5 points ( 5 cautions and 0 dismissals) whilst the current bad boys are AFC Wimbledon with 33 points (24 cautions and 3 dismissals).
The Southall total of 10 cautions is the joint second lowest in the Seagrave Haulage Premier Division whilst the total of 4 dismissals is the joint highest!

November 3rd
The match at home to Walton Casuals which was scheduled for Tuesday November 19th has been postponed. This is due to Walton Casuals being involved in a Third Round Surrey Senior Cup tie away to Chessington United. The match will now be played on Tuesday January 7th 2003.

November 2nd
Southall faced third placed Withdean 2000 at Mill Meadow and were defeated 3-1. After a goalless first half a headed goal from Andre Robinson brought the scores level but two further  goals gave the visitors all three points.
Southall Reserves unhappy season continued with a 9-2 home defeat by Actual  Soccer. This result leaves Asher Phillip's team firmly rooted to the bottom of the table.
