November 19th
Two late penalties from Leon Fisher helped Southall salvage a point with a 2-2 draw at Guildford United.

Frank Gill was able to welcome back Shane O'Sullivan after suspension but was without regulars Cris Barrett and Andre Robinson. Once again a specialist goalkeeper was not available and Ryan De Costa took on the role once  more.

Southall had the better of the first half, creating several chances but converting none of them. The Guildford defence defended well and the scores were blank at half time.

Guildford took the lead after 59 minutes through Dan May who punished a defensive error following a corner. Nine minutes later Guildford doubled their lead. Greg Fitzpatrick  pounced on another  defensive blunder which left Southall facing their second league defeat of the season.

Southall continued to press and ten minutes from time were awarded a penalty when Donal O'Sullivan was harshly adjudged to have been fouled. Byron Glasgow took the spot kick which was saved by keeper John Brawley. The ball fell loose to Donal O'Sullivan who was hacked down as he was about to put the ball into the net.
Leon Fisher made no mistake with the resultant penalty.

With time running out, Southall pressed for an equaliser and three minutes from time Leon Fisher got the ball and cut into the penalty area. His run took him past three defenders before he was upended and a penalty awarded. Fisher put the spot kick beyond the reach of the impressive Brawley.

Both sides had a player dismissed for receiving two cautions in the same match.

Goals from Donal O'Sullivan, Leon Fisher and Byron Glasgow helped Southall earn a point in a 3-3 draw away to Colliers Wood United and maintain top position in the league.

Manager Frank Gill gave a debut to former Slough Town, Boreham Wood, Carshalton Athletic and Dulwich Hamlet midfielder Veli Hakki but for the third time in the last four matches was forced to play the match without a specialist goalkeeper.

Donal O'Sullivan gave Southall the lead after 25 minutes when he headed home an accurate Leon Fisher cross.

Four goals then followed in an amazing five minute spell just before the half time interval.

In the 40th minute Leon Fisher doubled the Southall lead when he cut in from the right hand side and slotted the ball home from close range.

A minute later Colliers Wood pulled one back following a free kick and two minutes later they were level after they converted a penalty given away by Cris Barrett.

On the stroke of half time Byron Glasgow restored the lead for Southall when he scrambled home the ball from a corner.

Colliers Wood equalised ten minutes into the second half with a scrambled goal and then went on to dominate the remainder of the game. Despite the constant pressure from Colliers Wood the Southall defence remained firm and a hard fought point was the just reward.
