October 31st

October 25th
Southall's good run of form continued with a 5-1 home win over Walton Casuals. A hat trick from Andre Robinson and one goal each from Marvin Rufus and Donal O'Sullivan stretched Southall's unbeaten run in all competitions to ten matches.

Southall Reserves lost 3-2 away to CB Hounslow United Reserves.


October 24th
Southall will play North Greenford United at home in Round Two of the Middlesex Senior Cup after North Greenford beat Enfield 4-0 in the First Round. A date for the match has not yet been arranged.

The Middlesex Senior Charity Cup match away to Spartan South Midlands side Hanwell Town has been provisionally fixed for Tuesday November 18th, kick off 7.45 pm.


October 22nd
Reports of the Cranleigh and Cobham matches are now on the web site.

October 21st
Southall progressed to the next round of the Middlesex Senior Challenge Cup with 2-0 win over Ryman side Wembley. In a hard and closely fought contest two excellent second half goals from John Edwards and Donal O'Sullivan proved to be  the difference between the two sides.
Man of the Match was goal keeper Ali Koro Samba.


October 18th
Southall continued their impressive run of form with a 9-1 victory away to Cobham.
A brace of goals from each of  Donal O'Sullivan, Jerry Moses, Dan Mascoll and Marvin Elliott together with a penalty from Alan Johnson gave Southall their first nine goal haul away from home for seventy five years. 
It was on April 7th 1928 that Southall scored nine against Guernsey Island on their Channel Islands Tour.

Southall Reserves secured a place in Round Two of the Middlesex Junior Cup when they beat British Airways Reserves on penalties. The visitors, who play in Division Two of the London Commercial League, opened the scoring in the first half. Mark McKeown equalised for Southall from the penalty spot after the interval and the score remained at 1-1 through to the end of extra time. Southall Reserves proved the more accurate with their spot kicks and won the penalty shoot out 5-4.
In the next round Southall Reserves are away to Harefield Wednesday who were 4-1 victors over Signcraft.


October 14th
The Premier Challenge Cup Third Round tie between Southall and Westfield will take place on Saturday December 6th at The Meadow.

October 12th

October 11th
Five goals from Alpha Bangura, three from Jerry Moses and two each from Donal and Shane O'Sullivan helped Southall demolish Cranleigh 12-0 in Round Two of the Premier Challenge Cup. Southall will now entertain Westfield in the next round of the competition.

A trawl through the database of over 5000 results shows that this is the 19th time that Southall have hit double figures in a match and the first time since April 15th 1963 when they beat Carshalton Athletic 11-0 at home in an Athenian League fixture which  is the record league victory.

The twelve goals scored equals the total scored on January 31st 1942 when the Club beat Lyons Club 12-2 in Round Two of the Middlesex Red  Cross Charity Cup. The victory today becomes the best ever result in a competitive game by virtue of there being no goals conceded.

For the record Southall have conceded ten or more goals on 14 occasions the last one being an 11-1 thrashing at the hands of Uxbridge on September 1st 2001 in the Preliminary Round of the F.A. Cup.

Southall Reserves lost their second match in the Middlesex Federation Football League Cup when they lost 1-0 at home to Neasden Foundation.

October 9th

October 6th
Reports of the Withdean 2000 and Chessington United games are now on the web site.

October 4th
Southall retained second place in the Seagrave Haulage League and extended their unbeaten run to six matches with a 5-1 victory away to Chessington United.
Two goals in a minute from Jerry Moses and one from Donal O'Sullivan gave Southall a three goal lead within the first twelve minutes. The first half scoring was completed by Shane O'Sullivan on the half hour.
The second half was a more even contest. Both sides scored from the penalty spot - the home side in the 54th minute and Alan Johnson in time added on by referee Stevens.

Southall Reserves lost their first match in Group Six of the Middlesex Federation Football League Cup when they lost 2-1 away to Middlesex County League Division Three side Brentham.


October 1st 
Southall will now entertain Westfield in Round Three of the Premier Challenge Cup if they win their Second Round tie at home to Cranleigh.
Westfield had a 5-3 win away at Farnham Town in the Second Round tie between the two sides.
